P I L A T E S
"Contrology (Pilates) is complete coordination of mind, body and spirit.
Through Contrology you first purposefully acquire complete control of your
own body, and then through proper repetition of its exercises you gradually and progressively acquire that natural rhythm and coordination
associated with all your subconscious activities."

- Joseph Pilates

Pilates, often referred to as Contrology by its founder Joseph Pilates, is far more than an exercise method. It is a practice that unites the mind, body, and spirit, promoting both physical strength and mental clarity. As a movement method designed to develop core stability, flexibility, and full-body coordination, Pilates teaches us how to move with purpose and awareness in all areas of life.

With over 17 years of experience teaching mat, reformer, and clinical Pilates across Australia, I have witnessed first-hand the transformative impact that Pilates has on all walks of life. Personally, this practice has been a life-changing anchor for me since the age of 19, helping me to discover greater resilience, balance, coordination and self-awareness.

MY APPROACH

As a STOTT Pilates-trained instructor, I bring a rich blend of tradition and modern adaptation to my teaching. I honor Joseph Pilates' original method, carried forward by his disciple Romana Kryzanowska and adapted by her student, Moira Stott, with a contemporary understanding of anatomy and biomechanics.
My approach emphasises alignment, proper technique, and mindful movement, whether you’re training with me on the mat, reformer, or in the clinical studio.
My teaching goes beyond the physical benefits; I encourage my students to reconnect with their bodies in ways that foster healing, mindfulness, and confidence.
Whether you’re new to Pilates or a seasoned practitioner, you’ll find each class to be an opportunity to deepen your practice and unlock a greater sense of ease and control in your body.

Posture & Alignment: With focused attention on alignment, Pilates helps correct imbalances and improve posture.
Mind-Body Connection: Pilates fosters a deep awareness of movement, connecting physical exercises with mental focus.
